Stranger

Stranger is a personal passion project that came to life fall 2019 in my computer Graphics class at university. We completed a rough demo but the project has since been on extended hiatus.

Overview: Stranger is a 3D visual art/adventure game that follows the journey of Nia and her faithful companion, Rin as they traverse the metaphorical journey of accepting a new location as home.

Story: This visual adventure will consist of 3 levels : Stranger, Traveler, and Sand. In these levels, Nia will have to face her inner demons and the environment as the monsters of her mind manifest in different forms like darkness, emptiness, and creatures. All through this, Rin will be her faith friend and encouragement. Fight as Nia to defeat your inner demons and make this new environment your home or else suffer as a lost stranger, traveling in sand for eternity. 

Role: Since “Stranger” was my baby, I was the team leader of the project during the course. With that, my leadership responsibilities involved ironing out ideas, providing clarity and direction for the other project members, and guiding the development of the project to match the original vision I have. My technical roles were Character and Model designer, illustrator, script writer, layout/environment artist, and UI designer.

Though the class has ended, I intend to continue to work on the game for a full release (someday 🥲).
